Role Summary
To provide learners with an enriched library environment containing a wide variety of instructional materials that will invite intellectual growth and reading culture and to aid all students in acquiring the skills needed to take full advantage of library resources
Key Responsibilities
- Implement Library Policy.
- Assist in coordination of all the library services in the school.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals for the acquisition of library materials.
- Organizing the library collection via shelving for maximum and effective use.
- Make the library attractive and accessible to all children and staff, including displays, guiding, and publicity materials. In a clean working environment.
- Maintaining an up-to-date library management system for easy retrieval of resources.
- Conducting orientations or workshops on research skills, and digital literacy.
- Organizing events like book fairs, reading challenges, or author visits.
- Partnering with teachers to support curriculum goals by recommending resources or co-planning lessons.
- Supporting school events, research projects, or other collaborative initiatives.
- Knowledge and skills in theatre and drama will be an added advantage.
Qualifications & Skills·
- Must have a minimum of a Diploma in Library and Information Science or its equivalent from a recognized institution.·
- At least 3 years of working experience from a recognized institution.·
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.·
- Must be proficient in MS Office suite.·
- Experience in Library Management Systems is an added advantage.·
- Proactive and self-motivated.·
- A team player with the ability to establish rapport with colleagues.·
- Member of SLAK is an added advantage.

- Diploma/Bachelor of Education in Primary Education-
